Dr. Tim Baker, Associate Professor, Critical Care Physician, and Principal Investigator of the POETIC research program at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), Dar es Salaam, presented at the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2026, held April 27-29 at the United Nations Office in Nairobi. The summit theme, “Reimagining Africa’s Health Systems: Innovation, Integration and Interdependence,” provided a timely platform to elevate the conversation around critical care capacity and health systems strengthening in sub-Saharan Africa. We are proud to see MUHAS and Tanzanian research represented at this level.
