🌍 World AIDS Day 2025
Theme: “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.”
Today, we honour the lives affected by HIV/AIDS and stand with the global movement calling for resilient, inclusive, and life-saving care for all.
At the heart of this year’s theme is a simple truth: transformation begins with strengthening the foundations of care. And that’s where Essential Emergency & Critical Care (EECC) comes in.
EECC provides a universal package of low-cost, life-saving actions that protect vital organ function in any critically ill patient — including those living with HIV facing severe infections, respiratory failure, sepsis, or other complications.
It ensures that every patient, in every ward, and in every hospital receives timely, essential care that can mean the difference between life and death.
On this World AIDS Day, we reaffirm that:
❤️ No one should die from a lack of basic, life-saving care.
🩺 EECC strengthens health systems so that disruptions — pandemics, resource shortages, staffing gaps — don’t cost lives.
🌱 Through EECC, we move toward a more equitable, resilient AIDS response.
