The APPRISE Scientific Workshop, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 10th to 12th February 2023, was organized by Debre Berhan University in collaboration with NIHR-UK and other organizations involved in the NIHR Global Group for Perioperative and Critical Care, led by Professors Bruce Biccard and Rupert Pearse.
This workshop brought together members from the four countries participating in the African Partnership for Perioperative and Critical Care Research: Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, and South Africa. It provided an opportunity for participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the four different projects included in APPRISE and their respective roles.
Additionally, our collaborators from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) attended the workshop to share their expertise on the concept of Quality Improvement in healthcare.
